John McCahill

Business Development Strategies

John McCahill has extensive experience in business development, investment promotion and supporting both economic development agencies and individual companies in achieving success in accessing new markets. Having served as Manager of Inward Investment for the State of New Jersey and Director of the public/private partnership Tradelink New Jersey, he is well familiar with the process of attracting new investment to regions large and small. As a result of nearly 20 years of economic development work, Mr. McCahill has considerable experience in identifying and pursuing leads, organizing investment and trade show missions, arranging and hosting delegation visits, as well as individual company visits. Prior to his Economic Development career, he spent over 15 years in commercial and investment banking with several major New York financial institutions, including CSFB/First Boston, Irving Trust Company and Bank of New York.

Educated at Albright College and Lehigh University, with additional graduate studies at Rutgers University and Stevens Institute of Technology, Mr. McCahill has traveled extensively in Europe and is conversant in German. He has also attended, exhibited at, or led Missions to numerous trade shows in Hannover, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Stuttgart and Munich, including the Hannover Industrial Show, CeBit, Medica, Ligna, ExpoReal, and many others.
